George encouraged the children to look at man made objects compared with natural objects to see if the children were able to see which stood out and why they stood out. We talked about camouflage and how animals use camouflage in the forest to hide.

A really well organised trip thanks Kindergarten team. Thanks, Neil
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks Neil for the feedback we appreciate it. Liz did an amazing job of organising our trip so that it was interesting and manageable for us all.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing what the children were able to recall about their Peel Forest experience this morning at mat time.
Why did the trees grow sooooo tall? Louise asks...
"To meet the birds." Helena says.
Poppy's favourite part was taking turns with the spoon and the cup to make smelly forest.
Tara's favourite was being on Mum's team!
We had a great time didn't we,the smells and sounds of the bush are always special. Was wonderful having such an enthusiastic group of parents, grand-parents and great grand-parents helping, sausages taste so much better outdoors don't they! We are so fortunate to have Peel Forest only 20 minutes away, and George (DOC) provided interesting activities to help make the morning even more engaging for the children. So sorry we forgot to take you Mr Possum, your rellies were asking where you'd got to, next time we'll save you a seat on the bus.
